Why?

I built this site because I wanted to know more about the city I live in.

I used to find gigs through friends, Facebook events, group chats, posters, or just from being out. That seems harder now. People go out less, and it's surprisingly easy to have no idea what's happening in your own city.

So I wanted somewhere I could open up and just see what was on.

There's another reason too. Dublin has lost loads of venues, and we'll lose more if people don't use them. And when people do go to gigs, more and more of the money and attention seems to go towards the biggest acts. I don't want to live in a city of Ed Sheerans and Taylor Swifts.

There are people putting on gigs, comedy, quizzes, exhibitions and all sorts of other stuff every night of the week. A lot of it is great but not always easy to find.

Hopefully this makes it a little easier to go out on a Tuesday and find something. Don't wait until your favourite act is playing the 3Arena, find them when they're playing in a small room. And maybe meet some people while you're at it.
